We are currently seeking a Lead Front End Developer (JavaScript) This position is located in the Palo Alto CA.
Responsabilities:
- Lead front-end and JavaScript development across all features
- Fast-paced environment with the right balance of quick, iterative development versus more deliberate, smart architecting.
- You will work on the client side of the website application.
- Develop heavily with raw JavaScript in the embedded scripts.
- Work heavily with cross-domain issues and take advantage of the newest web technologies (e.g. HTML5), or bend existing web technologies to accomplish new things.
- Develop methods to improve performance across all combinations of browsers and platforms.
- Responsible for writing clean, semantic HTML and CSS.
- Our current infrastructure consists of Java/Apache/Tomcat/memcached/MySQL running on RHEL Linux servers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years professional experience writing JavaScript for RIAs
- JavaScript expert. You know the ins and outs of JavaScript and can develop very interesting things. Libraries such as jQuery and Prototype are fun to use, but you don't need them.
- Very experienced with common and obscure cross-browser and cross-domain issues, hacks, and solutions.
- Strong understanding of AJAX and DOM manipulation
- Experience with JSON and JavaScript templating, PURE or jQuery-haml
- Know HTML and CSS very well. You know when to separate layout from style and logic.
- Skilled with UI and UX design. Graphic/art design is not required but is a plus.
- Understand user behavior and application flow. You make applications that are fun to use and leave people happy.
- You don't indiscriminately use XMLHTTPRequest every chance you get
